How deep do you grind the stump?
Standard depth is around 200–300mm below ground level, enough for new turf, paving or shallow paving sand. For new plantings or deeper foundations, we can grind further. Just let us know what's going in.
Do you take the wood chips away?
Your choice. We can leave them as mulch over the hole (free option), spread them across a garden bed, or load them and take them away (small extra). Most Newcastle customers keep them as mulch, they break down within a year.
Can you grind multiple stumps at once?
Yes, and we discount per stump pricing when there's more than one at the same address. The mobilisation cost is mostly in getting the machine on site, so each extra stump is cheaper.
